Giving Up

This cartoon is showing that the price is the house is reducing until the owner decides to just accept something simple like a sleeping bag and a shopping cart. It depicts that homes are not selling fast enough because people can not afford it. This ties into the Stock Market because we did have a crash last year that lost many jobs and left people to lose their money. This relates to in-class discussions because we are learning how to handle our money in the Stock Market Game.

Election Over

This cartoon shows how much people care about the Election. Instead of actually voting, they write things like "Hooray! It's all over!" and "Can I have my TV back now?!". It concludes that people cant wait for election to be over and it is not important to them. It seems like people are frustrated with polls, voting, and even the campaigning that interrupts their TV time.

Ideology

This cartoon displays two different ideologies. The car that is crashing through the fence claims to have a ideology following God. However, it is making him about to crashing into the more careful driver. The other car claims to know which direction he is going because his co-pilot has a map. This can tell you that having an ideology can point you to different directions in life and some can lead you to bad places. This relates to our class discussions because we talked about different ideologies.

Romney Care

The cartoon displays Romney at a hospital testing for DNA. Evidently, the DNA that he is testing for is his health care and Obama's. The results of this test say that they are identical. Romney is upset about this probably because he wants to propose different things that Obama's health care. Since they are the same, Romney didn't feel like an individual with his proposed health care plan. This is related to class discussions because we have been talking about the presidential campaign for the whole year.

The Dow's Scream Machine

This cartoon shows a roller coaster ride with numbers of each side of the ride. A roller coaster most likely represents the way the stock market is going for Dow Jones. First its at it's high peak and it decreases in a matter of seconds. This relates to our class discussions because we are playing the Stock Market Game and it shows us how numbers can change very quickly.

Untruthful

There was no title that came with this cartoon so I made one up myself. I chose the title Untruthful because the man in the blue is venting about how people are always lying to him when he asks them questions. The message of this cartoon is that a pollster being lied to is equaled to marriage troubles. This cartoon is related to our class discussions because we learn about margin error and that is one of the ways that margin error can increase, if people are not saying their honest opinions.
